Pantone's Colour of the Year 2023 is 🥁🥁🥁 Viva Magenta (18-1750). Aside from the fact that I have another reason to go and dust of my Magenta short suit, this colour is what we need this year. In the face of economic and geopolitical uncertainty, this colour calls for a bold, self assured stance in the face of the unknown. The clever people over at the Pantone Colour Institute have issued their official statement on the colour:

“Pantone’s Color of the Year, Viva Magenta 18-1750, vibrates with vim and vigour. It is a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength.
